BDNF Regulation
Anxiolytic Research
In published research, the synthetic tuftsin analog Selank was shown to regulate brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) content in the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex of rats (Kolik et al, 2019, PMID 31625062).
In a separate rat study, Selank attenuated aversive signs associated with morphine withdrawal (Konstantinopolsky et al, 2022, PMID 36322304). Selank is a heptapeptide analog of the endogenous immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin.
